Gold Leaf Photo Frames
These gold leaf frames are finished by hand, and the surface shows it — warmly in the best way. The antiqued gold leaf has visible tonal variation and a softly crackling texture that no machine finish can replicate, giving each frame its own subtle character and a quality that reads as inherited rather than purchased. The silhouette is clean and classic: wide enough to read as substantial on a console or desk, restrained enough to recede when you want the image to do the work. Black-and-white photography in particular looks extraordinary in these — the cool tones of the image against the warm burnished gold creates a contrast that is almost cinematic. Available in two sizes: small (fits a 4×6 photo) and large (fits a 5×7). Buy both and layer them together for a vignette that feels genuinely curated.
An excellent gift that requires no explanation and fits anyone.
Layer the small and large frames together on a console or nightstand, offset slightly in depth for a composed, editorial display. Pair alongside an Assouline book and a small candle for a simple vignette that photographs well and lives permanently. These frames also work beautifully on a gallery wall where the gold leaf texture reads differently from a distance than up close — visitors tend to stop and look more carefully when they get nearer.
